Architectural Intern Taryn Wilson, AIAS was interviewed today as part of a video for her internship at Elevatus and she reflected on her involvement at our firm. Her project workload has included industries such as justice, historic preservation, restaurant, education, and much more.

Taryn has been a member of the Elevatus for several years and has experienced an extensive amount of projects. Her long-term internship has given her the opportunity to work with many different communities, projects, and she has seen projects go throughout design phases.

Through her internship, Taryn has also obtained technical skills and an understanding of architecture firm's business operations. She's also gained real-world exposure through client meetings, documentation, and many other components of the design universe.

Elevatus is deeply saddened by the loss of Mayor Tom Henry. He made such a positive impact on our community. His legacy will live on forever.

Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and our community.

We're looking back at a project we did with Bashor Children's Home. It was a very impactful project that we worked very closely with the organization on.

The Healing and Recovery Unit provides a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic healing space for young girls that have been victims of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. The new building has two identical spaces consisting of individual bedrooms, restrooms with showers, a living room space, a group meeting room with views of the beautiful pond, and a classroom.

The Support Building has two classrooms, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, a kitchen, calming room, and staff offices. It also includes an area used for the initial processing of some youth into the housing units.

The outdoor recreation space features a basketball court and other areas for individuals to occupy.

We were glad to have the opportunity to work with DJ Construction on this project.

A major milestone where a new Indiana Department of Correction correctional facility is being built in Westville, Indiana. The installation of the precast panel walls has started!
